November 2 National Workers’ All-out Rally A powerful declaration to stop an aggressive war against China and to overthrow Takaichi administration

November 2nd National Workers’ All-out Rally and the Grand March to Stop Constitutional Revision and War, was held with 2,150 participants in Shiba-park in Tokyo. A powerful declaration was issued against the war of aggression on China and to overthrow Takaichi government.
At the Japan-US summit talks , Takaichi has further promoted the drive for war, “building up a new golden age of Japan-US Alliance”, with a scheme of establishing a war-time system by bringing forward the deadline for achieving its plan to increase the defense budget to 2 % of GDP. and legislating Anti-Espionage Act in the coming extraordinary session of the Diet all at once. To confront these offensives, the November 2 Rally has established a firm battle formation of workers and people.

The rally has also confirmed a common determination to revive class struggle labor movement with anti-war struggle as its primary task through strengthening of national railway workers’ struggle in confrontation against the collaborationist line of Rengo (Japanese Trade Union Confederation). The delegation of Seoul Regional Council of KCTU (Korean Confederation of Trade Unions) together with Asahi Glass branch of Metal Trade Union, SI-Cobas, Italian independent work place labor union and an Australian activist who have experiences in US labor movement participated and have pledged together to stop world war, nuclear war, and achieve a fundamental change of society by international workers’ solidarity.

After the rally, a demonstration was carried out from Shiba park to Hibiya park through the area of Shimbashi station, chanting, “Down with Trump and Takaichi!” “Crush Japan-US War Alliance!” “Stop the war of aggression on China!” . The powerful demonstration gathered the attention of passers-by and succeeded to get their earnest sympathy and solidarity.
